Any candidate seeking an endorsement from Mason Professional Firefighters Local 4049 may request information from the Contact Us page. 

This union views candidates with a very narrow focus. Decisions are predicated on how candidates stand on firefighter and labor issues, such as collective bargaining rights, protection of fair labor standards (FLSA) and overtime rights, pay fairness and equity for federal firefighters, presumption of disability, funding for first responder initiatives, full funding of the FIRE Act and SAFER programs, protection of pension and Social Security benefits, and protection and extension of health care benefits for active and retired members, to name a few. For this reason, endorsements are only considered for public offices that have an interest in these issues.

All candidates will be required to complete a questionnaire to be reviewed by the Executive Board prior to consideration. If the endorsement is approved, the candidate will be provided with a marketing toolkit with approved logos and language from Local 4049.
